Cheap Auto Insurance if you have a speeding ticket on your record?
I got a speeding ticket 3 months ago [going 12 over in a 70 in Indiana] and I am trying to find cheap auto insurance in North Carolina. Right now State Farm is quoting me 97.00 a month, which t o me is a bit high. Any advice? HELP!

- Ya that 97 is a bit high. Get a quote from Allstate. Just be glad your not living in Atlanta, GA. I used to live there and I had no tix & the insurance was costing me $1500/yr. And I drove a beat up 6 cyl Dodge truck. Geez!
- Try Progressive!
- One of the best ways to find the best rates is through an online broker who works with multiple insurance companies. They can find the cheapest rates faster and easier than you can do by yourself. It doesn't cost anything so why not? Here's an article that has more details: http://www.leaseguide.com/Articles/cheap-car-insurance.htm When you fill out the request forms, make sure you are truthful about your ticket so that the rates they quote will be the actual rate you would have to pay.
- There is no one "best" or "cheapest" carrier. You'll have to call around, give your social security number to have a credit check, give them the vehicle information, and get a bunch of quotes to figure out which carrier is cheapest FOR YOU ----------------------------------------- http://www.loansandinsurances.com/auto-insurance.html
- There are services that can help you find the best quote available to you. By filling out one form on-line you can get multiple quotes from different companies and agents. This beats talking to dozens of agents giving the same information over and over just to end up getting quotes from the same companies. I have been able to save a lot of money by shopping every few years. The important thing is to use reliable companies that offer this kind of service. I know of two that are very good. - It's hard to say what's cheap and what's good. Each area is different, each car is different, etc. Check out http://www.ez-insurancesearch.com they have some great info on insurance and will provide you with instant quotes from some of the top local providers in your area.
