i have state farm auto insurance and i own 2000 volvo s40 and?
i have recently got in an accident and got the estimate for the repair... it was around $5500 i live in louisiana and i was wondering if my car is gonna be totaled or is there anyway i can reduce that repair cost to avoid totalling?

- Ask them to replace the damaged parts with overseas parts, they are sometimes 1/3 of the original price or you can ask them to use salvage yard parts as well.
- Just a general look at the Kelly Blue Book site says your car is worth around $9,000, so it wouldn't be a total. You may get a different price if you do the search yourself with the correct mileage: http://www.kbb.com
