Esurance! anyone out there saving alot of $$ compared to other auto insurance companies?

i need auto insurance any suggestions which company truly saves you money ?

1. Esurance has low rates, but lots of complaints of not representing their clients well in the case of a claim. Find an independent agent, not attached to any particular big box company, and give him your needs and information. Let him search his data base and find the best for you in your circumstances. The side benefit is you will have a person to talk to in case of a claim, not just an 800 number or a web page.
2. call an independent agent in your area. getting your insurance online is NOT a good idea. they may save you money but most are bad with customer service and claims handling. unless you are VERY familiar with insurance it can be hard to understand the coverages you are getting compared to what you need. i have a lot of clients who come to me after bad experiences with this. its free to get quotes and then you will have an actual person (your agent) who is there in person to work on your behalf. independent agents also write for several different companies so they can find you the best coverage at the lowest price.
