Auto and Car Insurance

Auto insurance with eSurance. Are they good?

I received very good quote from eSurance on my 2 vehicles. My friends told me that sometimes insurance companies (especially those less expensive) can drop their clients after claim, which results in higher rate later on. Does anybody have any experiance with Esurance and their claim department. I can save a lot of money by switching to Esurance but if that's going to get me in trouble I'd rather stay with my currant provider and pay them more. Anybody experianced "droping" by the auto insurance company? Esurance have a lot of commercials on TV and radio but does that make them good? Any suggestions? Please give me any answers. Thank you!

  2. No, all the commercials in the world is not going to make a company "good". They want your money, and they will do all that they can to convince you that they are the best. Get a quote from Liberty Mutual. That is my insurance company. Because I belong to a credit union, I get a 10% discount. My rate for what insurance I carry on my 1998 Nissan P/U IS $458 per year. Yep, you read it right, $458 per year. Liberty Mutual is an old company as well.
  3. Usually they get you hooked on a low rate, then jack it up later on, or drop you. And to the guy with <$500 insurance, that's the beauty of pickups, the only thing cheaper to insure would be a domestic minivan with no collision on it.
  4. State Farm is really good!
