Is AIG a good auto insurance?

1. EXPENSIVE!! I went with Allstate..
2. NO!! they will drop you the second you get into any accidents...from personal experience!!! so i went with state farm

My jaw hit the pavement when I found out how low my insurance premium with them would be, but then, they have a deal with my teachers' union (I guess teachers aren't exactly the most reckless drivers). Also, my car is old enough to drive itself, so I've got liability only, no collision insurance. I've had my car insurance with them for a couple of years, and I'm very pleased. On the other hand, I haven't had any accidents, so I've never actually had to use the insurance.
4. fine - until accident - then doubled, until we went to AAA for lowest to date on the other hand, they defended lawsuit for accident, that could have cost > $200 K
5. Depends if you want a help during a claim. I've had clients switch over to me because of bad experiences with AIG.
6. yes, they're a solid company!! Personal lines isn't their specialty, though, so the rates will be high.
7. They are not good insurance. They have had lots of financial problems, there CEO had to step down, problems with the SEC, they are very expensive and will let you go if you have any claims. OTher than that, no problem.
