do you actually save with progressive or geico auto insurance?

I checked it out and both places want like 4 times what I pay now!

SAVING all depends on alot of factors, but i will tell ya from my personal experience with GEICO. i have had geico for over 20 years now and i remember when only active duty military and federal employees were eligible for insurance. now they are nationwide and personally i really dont like that!! anyway i have shopped around with just about every other insurance carrier around including progressive and in every instance geico is cheaper for me. so i continue to stay with them. i have only had to file 2 claims in that 20 years and 1 of them was for my wife and the other wasnt my fault. so maybe being a damn good driver has something to do with me saving money????

5. Not always. There are many factors that determine your insurance rate. I would check with your local independent insurance agent.
6. No. I save with Esurance.com.
7. I wouldn't buy insurance from GEICO if they were the cheapest company in the world!!!! They buy radar guns/lasers for police departments so they can issue tickets to drivers so GEICO can raise car insurance rates for the speeding ticket you got from the radar gun they supplied!!!!
8. I saved with Geico - it all depends on your driving history - where you live etc.
