Amusing commercials aside, is Geico a good auto insurance company?

I'm mostly concerned about the customer service and the speed and efficiency with which claims are handled.

1. There are many better, less expensive insurance companies.
2. progressive was cheaper and they had a local office so geico is not always better..
3. as a geico customer for the past ten years, i would have to say that they're excellent. if you have a claim they will resolve it within 48 hrs. they are less expensive than other companies. you can get in touch with them 24 hrs a day, and you can get a policy within 15 minutes. (if you have a printer you could get cards right away too)
4. Geiko is o k, but you can get cheaper premiums from other carriers. Just shop around.
