Auto and Car Insurance

i am 18 years old. I want to improve my credit score by buying a vehicle. INSURANCE PROBLEMS!!!!!?

I know ican get approved for a vehicle but insurance for a teenage male is un-godly cheapest is 650 a month, is it possible to buy a vehicle in my name, but have insurance over it under my fathers insurance policy?

  1. Only if you put the vehicle in your fathers name, which kind of defeats the purpose.
  2. hey. well i am 18 so i understand how expensive insurance will be...although im not a male. lol My friend is 21, 2 dui's on his record and he pays 60 dollars a month through nationwide. You cannot be put on your dad's insurance because the car is not in his name. I tried to do that, but it has to be under their name. also, please dont put the car under his name because of insurance, I tried that, and well, lets say they wont give me my car back. I will have to take them to court because I purchased the car then put it under their name for insurance purposes. So technically its considered "their" car. So good luck! look into other insurance options too. email me at cheer2007gurl@yahoo.com
  3. i don't know.
  4. If you live in the same household as your father, then yes he can put YOU and your vehicle on his insurance policy, and you would be covered. It's as simple as that.
