how much will a basic ER visit cost without insurance?

i went for some pain in my neck and all they did was look in my ear, take my temp and give me some pills

1. Around $1500-$2000. wow right? Maybe more. its awful.
2. I paid $2500 for a migraine. All they did was give me some anti-puke medication and sent me home. If you don't make alot of money; you can apply with your hospital to get the bill 'disolved' by the hospital. And you wouldn't have to pay anything.
