regardless of income, all americans should be guaranteed basic medical care under a national health insurance.

BUT WHY????? for what reasonsssss ??????? and for what other reasons??? can i please get some good answers??

2. You can always walk into a public general hospitals to have a doctor there to look over you. Are you kidding to yourself? You won't able to choose who you want to see as your personal physician. Isn't American is land of opportunity that you can freely to choose? It comes with cost. Insurance is what you willing to pay to have someone you choose to look after you when you are ill or need surgery. A socialist country you will have one shoe fits all. Is that what you want??
3. Sorry, I think National Health Insurance is the WORST way to go. That's like saying, all americans should live in government housing. yep, people are just lining up to move in to the projects.
4. Why? Maybe because you want to pay 50% of your paycheck to taxes? Maybe you have confidence in the United States Congress to manage a great healthcare system? Most Congressmen are Doctors and Lawyers which cannot even manage Medicare. Maybe you like the concept of shifting all the responsibility of the unemployed to the people that are employed? Maybe you like the concept of a socialist run medical system which offers you no choices in your medical treatment? Or Maybe you think that everything is fair in life and anything you don't have should be given to you?
