Auto Insurance?

For the average person (young adult), what is the difference between the cost of auto insurance for a coupe and sedan? For example, a honda civic coupe and a 4 door sedan?

3. It is a common misconception that a "sports car" makes your insurance more expensive. In actuality all vehicles are assigned a "symbol" which acts as a numerical variable in a formula that determines your insurance price. This symbol is assigned based on crash test ratings, cost of repair, accident frequency, ...etc. Normally the symbol of the vehicle does not drastically differ for a 4 door vs. a 2 door, or the EX vs. the LX. You would see a bigger difference when you switch models or manufactures. If you pay about $100 a month the difference in price between the 2 and 4 door would be about $5 - $10 a month.
