Auto and Car Insurance

What is the cheapest car insurance in Toronto, Canada for a female student w/out any prior car insurance?

I am 22 years old and have never had car insurance b4. I do have the driver's certificate and currently have a G2. The basic coverage is fine as I will not be getting a new car. I will be getting a 1998-2001 car not sure of the modell yet.

  1. Your best bet is to do some comparison shopping. There are free quote services in Canada that only take a few minutes to come back with the best prices after you type in your details. Another thing you should do is look into student discounts, especially if you have good grades. You can often get a reduced price. Too, when you choose your car, avoid high performance vehicles (they scare insurance companies especially when young people are behind the wheel). :-) Hope that helps.
  2. There are many factors that affect car insurance rates, with the main facotr being the car. Here is a list provided by the Insurance Bureau of Canada, that lists all cars and how their risk factors compare to each other. You'll want to research this some more.... http://www.knowledged.info/go.php?link=insurance Have a nice day.
