Auto and Car Insurance

Can you recommend a good auto insurance that offers great service at a reasonable rate?

I need auto insurance that includes crack window coverage. I have a 2007 vehicle and my current insurance wants me to pay a $250 deducticle before they will pick up the tab. When I had Allstate, window mishaps were free, but Allstate is extremely high now.... Please dont suggest the green lizard. Their prices are outrageous..and I am a good driver, zero traffic violations who reside in the burbs! I reside in Michigan and this will be my first crack window claim.

  1. Please go to an insurance agent. There are tons of us around. An agent can shop it out to get you the best rate. Also, your agent is there to help you with any questions or problems. Look for a small agency in your area, they will give you the best service. If you're in Jersey let me know, I can help you.
  2. really geico was expensive they were about $100 less than i am paying with my current insurance company which is state farm. but i did not switch because geico has no local offices and i like the idea of having an agent who's office i can go to when i have a question. try state farm
  3. I've been with State Farm forever. I've never had to call a call center, I usually go to or call one of the local offices. They have always been super sweet and helpful. Thankfully I've never had major issues with my truck, but they have helped. I don't pay allot but that's mostly because my truck is ancient. But even when it was new, I payed between $100-$130 per month for full coverage.
  4. It depends on what state you are in. I can not comment on states other than Florida because I am not licensed in any other state but I know as far as cracked windshields go only your front windshield is covered with NO deductible the other ones are subject to your comprehensive or other than collision deductible. If you are in the state of Fl please contact me and I would be glad to help place you with insurance that would best fit your needs.
  5. Big question - how many windshield claims have you had in the past few years? If you've had more than one or two (and yes, they can find out) no one is going to give you that coverage without a deductible. There are no shortcuts, you're going to have to shop around to a few local agents. It's also going to be based on your credit score - so they'll run the credit, and a clue report to see your claims history. I really like Travelers and Progressive, but if Geico and Allstate are both charging you an arm and a leg, your current carrier is probably using the deductible to lower your rates. You need quotes from 5-10 other companies to see what's the going rate for YOU.
  6. There a lot of good ones available depending on what you are looking for. Here's a useful site worth bookmarking that I use for resource of different companies: Auto Car Plus Insurance Transfer Site http://www.acats.net All the best, Auto Guy
  7. It's difficult to answer your question because there are so many variables in auto insurance - age, sex, your credit record, the car you're driving, your driving record, where you live, etc. etc. The best advice I can give is to shop around. Go to three or four different insurers, answer their questions the same and find out which one quotes you the best policy. Be aware that the cheapest policy is not always the best - you decide what you want to pay for. Check out this website which has a load of links where you can get quotes. I hope this helps. Good luck!
