Which is the better auto insurance company, statefarm or allstate?

1. I think State Farm is. I've had both. State Farm has lower rates.
2. Neither, I went with progressive because they were friendlier & cheaper...just my opinion..

4. Your in good hands with allstate but myself, I use Progressive. I have used them for the past twenty years and they treat me good and dont cancel after accidents etc.

6. Possibly neither. Find a good independent agent, and ask for suggestions. Progressive Drive is a good choice in some cases. While you are there, ask about adding a towing rider on the policy, and drop your motor club. Then you can call the closest tow company in case of a problem, and get reimbursed for the expense.

8. state farm is number one. if you do not have your payment just call and tell them when you will be in no problem.

10. It really depends on your driving record. State Farm will drop you after you have a major accident, and AllState will not give you a policy if you have a single blemish on your record. I like Progressive, they have really good rates as well.
11. I had allstate, but when I moved above the mason-dixon line my rates doubled. I now use AIG. While their customer service sucks, they have good rates for drivers with clean recoerds.
