My auto insurance was dropped from Allstate about 2 months ago and I still owe them $313?
I was dropped or "terminated" in Allstates words due to a late payment. They stated if I pay that $313 I can be considered for reinstatement. What are the odds of that? I'm broke and need insurance ASAP b/c its a new car (well year and a few months) has anyone been reinstated before? Or as I think they just want me to pay what is owed and be done. Please leave your feedback.

- i have been reinstated before... but it usually requires paying the amount owed, a reinstatement fee, and if they let you stay on a payment plan the first 1 or 2 months up front... otherwise the whole plan (like 6 mos. or whatever) is due... you may want to pay the $313 and check around with other carriers (unless you have any insurance points)... but, hey, you can always call and ask for their reinstatement terms.
- well you need to pay your back bill but you might be better off going to another insurance... they might reinstate you but i am sure it will cost you more on top of the bill to get your insurance back
- Ahh, but if you get your policy reinstated, they might do it without a lapse which means your rates won't change. If you scurry off to another company, they will automatically give you a lapse in coverage, which will lead to your policy premium being higher. If Allstate wants to offer you something to get your business back, seriously! Jump on it! It could save you hundreds in the end!
- Hi, I think they do want you to pay and stay as a customer. You should check other insurance company online, to see if you can find a better deal, it takes a little work, but it worth in a long run. check this site http://carsinsurancetips.com/ You should get your car insured as soon as possible!
- YOU HAVE NO CHOICE, YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY IT NOW OR TAKE THE CHANCE THAT THIS WILL GO ON YOUR CREDIT RECORD. I WOULD SAY JUST PAY IT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.
