- There is an insurance company called Hagerty that specializes in insuring classic cars. You should check them out when you shop for insurance.
- You can get classic car insurance, but you will not be able to drive it more than a few thousand miles per year (you can't use it as a daily driver). There are quite a few classic car insurers. Among the best known and best in terms of value is JCTaylor. They probably have a website. Just "Google" it..
- Yes you can get classic insurance on this car, I have a '56 chevy pickup and a '68 chevy caprice and I was able to get insurance on them with Safeco. Insurance. I went through westcoast insurance agency they were pretty reasonable too.
- my advice to you would be to to maintain your dad to be the legal owner of the car & the primary driver but stipulate that you are a secondary driver and that the car insurence will be maintained when you are driving. obviously dont tell the car insurence companies that you are going to be doing a majority of the driving. & talk to a number of car insurence companies & you'll probably save a fair bit. www.au-insurance.com is a pretty good place to start. good luck.
