  1. I have State Farm and I have my wife listed as primary on 2 cars and myself as primary on the Third care all within the same policy. They can do it, just have to ask. Good luck!
  2. She has to be listed as primary on one car and the other car must be listed as pleasure car.
  3. I know Farmers insurance is the same as direct line, son/daughter has to be on one car, can't be secondary, my friend has this problem, but his dad gets a discount for having multiple cars insured with them. My other friend has 2 cars with her being the main driver for both and her sister as a secondary driver. I don't remember the name of this insurance company, but it's a local small private company not GEICO or Allstate, so maybe check with your local small private insurance companies. I know GEICO will insure your car even if you have another car insured somewhere else. So you might just have to use 2 insurance companies, but it will solve your problem. : ) If you go with GEICO, before you accept the policy on telephone, ask the Rep. if that is a fixed rate, not an estimate until they run your driving record! Remember All-State and State Farm just plain sucks!
  4. The best thing to do is try to search it on the net, go for online shopping so that you can collect and compare different car insurance rate. You can try to visit this cheap car insurance site http://www.nightbirdssolutions.com evaluate the quotations that you have collected and choose the company that could provide you the services that you need.
  5. Thats a tricky one. I suppose it's logical that you can't be the main driver of two cars, but what about people fortunate enough to own several cars, think they must have a multi car policy or something. Your probably best gtting your own insurance policy and then going as a named driver on your mums insurance, you can always put your mum as a named driver on your insurance too if she might want to use your car. You might find it makes it cheaper too. Have a nose on a comparison site like moneysupermarket to get an idea how cheap you can get your own insurance, maybe experiment with adding your mum and taking her off to see how much it affects your price. Get your mum to find out how much it will cost to add you on to her policy. Some companies just charge an admin fee but depends on your age and driving experience :)
