how many breakdown calls can i have per year?
im with direct line car insurance, is there a limit of breakdown call outs i can make, i've had to call out the service 4 times in about 4 months, ive been told, there is a limit of times you can call per year, i have a new battery in the boot, my car won't move, if they come out, would they install the new battery, and will they probably charge me for it, Thanks

- Batterys are easy to put in ask a someone to do it for you. and you can ask them when you call if it's going to cost?
- It is emergency breakdown cover, not "i don't want to pay a garage cover" You are meant to keep vehicle regularly serviced and maintained to a reasonable standard, if you'd been out shopping and came back to car to find screwed battery then fair enough but being at home with a new battery in the boot ready to fit doesn't go down well. If you call them they will take a dim view of having to come out to you to fit a battery that you've managed to go and buy. Call a couple of mates to find someone to fit it, simple job really. AA alows about 6 call out in the year
- your best bet is call the people who you got the cover with!the will able to tell you.
