Please help me understand Canadian vehicle insurance stuff!?

Hello, I recently bought a new car and am in need of insurance. Thing is, I don't understand insurance! If someone could please give me a breakdown of how insurance works and certain parts of insurance I should have opposed to parts that aren't necessary. Whats liability? Third party liability? Collision? Comprehensive? Any links would help as well. Thanks,

I think it will be better to visit some car insurance company websites where you can ask your questions (better to hear it from them), collect qoutes and compare who offers the best or the cheapest for you.
