Why on Earth would anyone buy Progressive Insurance?

I had Progressive Insurance on my vehicle for one week, and had an accident. They looked for any and all excuses to get out of paying the claim. They finally succeded, and I had to pay off a totaled car. The Customer Service Supervisor actually told me that I was stupid for buying insurance over the phone. Isn't that what they advertise that makes them SO great??

2. i cant answer why customer service for progressive was so out of line as to what they told you , but all i can say is i really dont think it matters who you have insurance with , whether you talk over the phone or in person , they will always try to get out of paying . i was with the same insurance company for 15 years (of which no claim was ever made), and when my kid got temps , my rates went sky high . needless to say an accident happened within 3 weeks of getting license , and they did finally pay (total of about $1200 ), but 3 days later i received notice they would no longer be willing to keep me as a client !!! i would make a suggestion , though , that no matter who you go with , ask friends , family , do search on complaints , etc . maybe then you can find a reliable company , who you can feel a little more confident about.
3. All insurance is a scam, infact mandating it is a violation of your constitutional rights (the creators obvious decree above the governments' impositions). If you have any evidence of this occurence of any kind, (phone record, correspondence, etc.) I'm sure you have a very strong civil case against them. So-called law (actually just rules) requires only that there be a 'meeting of the minds' (an ageement to insure) to initiate your insurance contract. Your biggest obsticle in this situation is the same as in the first paragraph, You've been brainwashed into thinking you should hire a lawyer(a lying and theiving double-agent of government) to handle your case. If you have the initiative to persue the matter on your own you can win, if you hire a lawyer(properly pronounced li'ar) you will only be psychologically tortured and finiancially exploited for your belief in a system that is at its best corrupt and evil.
