Cheap Car Insurance for a 17 Year old in the UK?

Im a male, i dont want no comparison sites as they are useless i can find sites that will give me good quotes, and please dont tell me to insure a 1.0 - 1.2 litre engine as i have figured out i can insure a 1.9 diesel engine for like £200 more. However i want to know if you know anymore than my current listen i have tried: Tesco llyods Tsb Direct line Virgin Vauxhall Citreon Peugoet If you know anymore can you please tell me thank you if anyone knows where i can get a 1995 peugeot 306 1.9D for cheaper than £1818 then please include it thank you

  1. Go to www.moneysavingexpert.com and search for cheap car insurance- there is an article that shows you how to compare 150 quotes in like 10 minutes. It is mostly using price comparison sites, however if you want a guide price then they are useful. It depends how much you want to spend though. I bought my first car at 19; it was a BMW 525 and cost £2830 to insure (yes a lot but by far the cheapest quote i found). Yeah I could have got a morris minor insured with footman james for £500 but I didn't want one. Good luck.

You have big problems here and if you attempt to insure more than a Group 3 car it becomes even worse.Insurance is based on the Public Liability rather than the vehicle.In spite of this and doubt that you will listen try Quinn Direct.Or maybe ASDA.I have just insured a 17 yr old as a second driver in a Group 3 car for just £472,but with restrictions.

  8. No such thing as Cheap at your age. Word of advise steer clear of 1.9 diesel engines the premium will be so much higher. Stick to vehicles under 1.3. or save your money until you get older.
