How do I add someone on to my car insurance policy on Sunday?

My policy is with Tesco and they are closed today. A friend of mine wants the car tomorrow early morning but how can he get it insured before that?

5. Does your friend have fully comp insurance on his own vehicle - if he does he can probably drive your car on his insurance as 3rd party although they may add your car if he rings them.
6. If he has your permission to drive he is insured. If you want to add him permanently just call your agent when they open. No problem at all.
7. Your friend should already have his own liability insurance for himself. You already have insurance coverage for the car. Why do you need to add this person to YOUR policy? I have loaned my vehicle to other drivers in the past. What's the problem? I have never done what you propose.
