How much will my geico auto insurance rates go up after an accident? If I've had a couple of accidents in years past, currently pay about 1,200/year for geico. I just had a very minor fender bender in which I sustained no damage but the other car (a BMW) got 2 scratches on the rear. How much can I expect my insurance rates to go up when this is all reported?

Who here has Geico auto insurance? I've been hearing (over the radio) about the CFO of Geico stating that he plans to visit every Geico customer's house wearing the gecko suit and thank them for choosing Geico auto insurance. How is Geico Auto Insurance? So we all like to save as much money on auto insurance as possible. Geico Auto Insurance question. Wife totalled car. Can we get tires? My wife totalled her car. Really just the front end but Geico declared it totalled. She is totally fine and so is the person whos car she hit. We paid $700 for our tires 1 year ago. We have waranty ,etc,.. on them. The 2 front ones might be a loss but the backs are good. The ins. adjuster said we could not have them. If its a loss they say we cannot take anything off the vehicle. I also dont like the price they gave us. We have full coverage luckily. Am I entitled to these tires? I dont think they are taken into account in the value of the vehicle. And they should be. If someone has a killer stereo system, rims, etc,.. they just lose all that when an accident happens? Please someone advise me on what to do. Also do I have to accept the amount they are giving me for the vehicle. I know its worth at least $2000 more than they are saying. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Does anyone else think Geico Insurance advertisements are annoying? I just don't take them seriously and I don't think their commercials are funny. I don't take Geico as a credible insurance company because of the way they advertise themselves. I have House and auto insurance with State Farm and love them. Although I take All State and some other agencies seriously as well. What do you all think? Its one thing when a beer company or a food item has a stupid fun commercial but when I am looking to purchase a serious service from someone, I just don't think it is appropriate to try and make a funny commercial. I want some seriousness and facts about why I should for example leave State Farm to go to Geico. So far that Gecko hasn't shown me why... And also they were more expense than State Farm and I have no Claims and perfect credit.

Geico is trying to base their auto insurance rates based upon a persons education. what do you think? The statistics are as follow 80% of whites in the U.S. have a four year college degree compared to the minority groups. Blacks are at 6%,Asians at 7% and only 4% of Latino's or Hispanics. What kind of lawyer would I need to sue an auto insurance company? I was recently in a car accident... where I was at a dead stop in traffic.. (wrong place.. wrong time) and a woman came out of no where and hit the passanger side of my car. She was young and cute and claims that a "third party driver" ran her off of the road and that forced her to hit us, so the young police officer who wrote up the report did not find her at fault because of this "third party" that could have been a ghost as far as we know.. This person did not actually hit her, so there is no physical evidence of her claim. But because that is what the police report says, of course that is what her insurance company is going by. So her insurance company (geico) is refusing to cover the cost of of my damages, and my insurance company (Nationwide) is refusing to do much about it except pay for my damages and raise my rates!! This a bunch of BS. So can I sue Geico to try and get them to fork out the money since i did NOTHING wrong? If so what kind of lawyer do I need?

What is the bare minimum for full coverage auto insurance? I live in Idaho. I have not yet payed off the auto loan so I'm required to have full coverage insurance. According to some people I am paying too much (about 700 for 6 months), as they are paying far less. I have geico, but from time to time I look around and get quotes, and it is always slightly higher than what I have now. However, that might be because I am opting for coverage I might not need. So the question boils down to, what is the bare minimum requirements for "full coverage" auto insurance in Idaho?

Geico auto insurance question? We had some storm damage to our vehicle where a large branch fell on the car while driving. My wife is going to file a claim this afternoon. By what I gathered we have to take the car to one of their inspection locations and they do the estimate??? I also read that the car will have to go to one of their repair locations??? Do we have a choice of repair locations using Geico??? In the past using another insurance company we took our car to several shops to get estimates and sumbitted the quotes and they sent a repair check minus the deductable. The damage to the car is some hood scratches,a cracked fender and scratches along the doors,I'm afraid the car being a 1996 I feel the paint will not match up unless most of the car beyond the damaged areas are painted to blend the paint in and if we have to take it to their inspection location we will get screwed unless the adjuster is a qualified bodyman,I feel they will find the cheapest way to repair the damage

Where can I get the best Auto Insurance Quotes? My semi-annual auto insurance renewal is coming up. I've shopped before and I think I'm already getting a damn good rate, but still I'd like to try to get an even better rate. I've tried both Geico and Progressive, and both quoted me over $200 higher per year than I already pay. Any other good suggestions? This would be for coverage in California. Tried Mercury Insurance. Do you think this Geico ad is deceptive? Geico Auto insurance says in their radio advertisement that "you can save $500 by switching to Geico" (we'll even assume that the $500 figure is accurate - but they don't state where the $500 figure comes from). I think this ad is clearly deceptive for several reasons. First of all, it says you "can save" money, not that you "will save" money, but it gives the opposite impression. Next, it implies that Geico insurance is (on average) $500 cheaper than insurance from other companies which is blatently false. And finally, and most importantly, it bases the $500 savings on people that "switch to Geico" only. It's not a comparison of all Geico rates with the rates from other companies. So, naturally, if you switched to Geico (and most people switch companies to save money), their rates will appear to be less than the company they switched "from".

Question on Auto insurance paid repairs? I have a 2005 Honda Accord that was in an accident. I have Geico insurance and was contacted by the Insurance claims adjuster with an estimate. The adjuster wants to repair my damaged fender instead of replacing my fender. The damage is minor but I want my care restored with comparable parts and believe that a bondo repair would comprimise the value of my vehicle. I am having trouble determining my rights in regard to this issue. Any recommendations on how to proceed? And what is the language in the policy that would indicate that they can use bondo vs a new panel.
