How much for basic auto insurance in Canada? I am driving my car from BC to Waterloo, ON. back for school. I was wondering, in this case, which province's auto insurance I am supposed to get. Can I drive around in Ontario for more than four months with ICBC insurance? Or Do I have to get the new Ontario insurance? In BC I am still N, which is equivalent of G2, and I currently drove for closely three years. Another thing was, how much would the basic insurance cost a month? Is there any big difference between BC and Ontario?

Why do we need basic health insurance? Health insurance should be for serious issues that require surgery or hospitalization. Why do I pay insurance to get a checkup or for routine visits? The problem with health insurance is it is too broad; therefore, it is too big. The idiots who say that car insurance is mandatory as an argument for mandatory health insurance leave out that it is only LIABILITY insurance that is mandatory. You are not required to insure fixing your own car if you choose not to. Think about how much more expensive it would be to take care of routine things like car maintenance, appliance replacement, etc., if they were handled through an insurance company. The answer seems to be to eliminate most of the unnecessary insurance and shrink it to only what is required. That along with serious tort reform would eliminate much of the red tape and cost. The person who abuses their things pays more to replace and fix them. Same thing with the fat people, who suck up most of the insurance money the rest of us pay.. If you choose to be fat, then you will pay more to repair your health. It seems pretty simple, but then again the current proposal is not really about health care is it???

I have even tryed to have things put in her name but it would cost her around 300$ dollars a month to insurance it. And that is just the basic insurance. That is why i want to just keep everything in my name Any idea's would help. And not I not going to lie and just have her drive it and move and not let the insurance company she is driving it. Booge~~ Let her stay at home.? Are you under the impress that I am making her move.? NO. She is move in her own. And if you knew my daughter you would know I can make her do ANYTHING.
Medical Bills, go through insurance or self pay? I recently had an accident that required me to go to the emergency room, have x-rays taken, and a soft cast put on my foot. Well now that all the fun is over the bills are rolling in. I have a very basic insurance plan through being a full-time college student that only covers $400 for outpatient emergency room care. Because of this the hospital told me to get charity care which brought the $2900 bill down to $1400. My insurance company told me though that they may be able to get a better discount since it is in their PPO network but the PPO provider (CHN) wont tell me what the dicount would be. I dont have a lot of money (being a full-time grad student) and dont want to roll the dice and go through insurance only to find out the the discount is only $300 and they cover me for $400 leaving me with a larger bill than if I went through charity care. The PPO discount for the X-Ray reading brought the bill from $61 down to $13 which is a huge discount. Does anyone know what to do?
What if I upgrade my car insurance because someone threatens to mess up my car? An old roommate stole a lot from me the day he moved out. I've been waiting 5 days for the police to take the report (they're busy according to them). In the mean time I contacted him telling him to return my stuff or I'll involve the police, and he said if I do that he's going to f*ck up my car. Right now I have basic insurance but after he told me that I want to upgrade my insurance just in case. My question is what happens if I upgrade and he does mess up my car? If I file a police report about the threat can my car insurance deny the claim? What if the police are still too busy and he does this before I get to file a report? What should I do? I already started parking 2 blocks from my apartment.
