What effect will a speeding ticket have on my State Farm auto insurance premium in Indiana? Would it be better to take the ticket deferral or just pay the fine? It was a minor 2 point violation for speeding 54 in a 40. The state trooper also issued a written warning for disregarding a traffic signal. This is my first ticket in over seven years and State Farm states this shouldn't raise my premium. Is this true or are they just saying this so I will pump more money into their company. Anyone familiar with this process.......Please Help?!?!

State Farm Insurance uses ridiculous, underhanded tactics...Anyone know of a really good auto insurance co.? My family has been a customer of a single office of State Farm for over 30 years, through two agents. The original guy was incredible--took the time to know and understand my family, their needs and concerns, he used to come to the house...real old school. The "new" guy (past 10 years) has been, well, either an absentee at best, or a @$$h01e at worst. My father is getting older, and has gotten himself into a few (3 or less) fender-benders and one accident that was close to a total loss, all over the past decade. My mother has a perfect record. I've had a few moving violations, two cases of total loss, and a couple fender-benders, again over the past decade. My most recent total loss was complicated by a DUI charge as well. Now here's the BS part...State Farm's office took it upon themselves to notify any other family members they had (who are NOT on the same policy as my parents and I) that my license was suspended (they waited until two weeks before I get it back). And that I shouldn't drive their vehicle. Now--I'm 29, again my family has bee a customer for over three decades...You're telling me this guy either couldn't trust us (all law-abiding citizens, except for my DUI, which was minor) and me not to drive while under suspension, or else he couldn't call us to discuss it over the phone if he indeed had any doubts? What's next? Telling all your extended family members when you get a ticket, so they'll make sure that you pay it? Or perhaps sending them your insurance premium, just so you won't forget about it?...ARGH! PLEASE. FOR THE LOVE OF ALL, TELL ME. Is there an insurance company or agent that is still "old school"? Who conducts business in the old, friendly manner? Who does your auto insurance, are you happy, and why (if you've never had any accidents or problems, please don't answer...I'm more concerned with how other companies address issues, not "I've paid my premium, never had an accident, and I'm happy with it.").

My boyfriend and I live togeather and have three vehicles, a Mazda Car, Dodge Truck and Yahama Street Bike we both have insurance policys with State Farm and we both are very happy all our insurance policys are seperate The car in my name with my agent the truck in his name with his agent and the st. bike also in his name and then i have a renters insurance policy just in my name. when his work started a 401K with Country Insurance they met with us and went over alot of services they offer and they did up a quote for our auto insurances and renters insurance which put the Mazda and Dodge togeather and both our names on the street bike and renters insurance it was much cheaper then what we pay state farm and we were both very happy with the agent and felt we'd have a good relationship with her... Why isnt Stae Farm refunding my auto insurance? I took out insurance on a new vehicle that I purchased in February. I chose the down payment option of paying two months so that I would always be a month ahead. I March I received my bill and it was higher than the agreement that I signed (and had a copy of) when I got the insurance. I decided to cancel and just put my insurance under my mothers since I live with her and wouldn't have to pay but $60 extra to the company she has already. When I went to State Farm to cancel, I told them about the higher bill and they said that it was wrong...and that I should receive my refund for the month of March in the mail. I havent received it yet and called them to get the refund dept number...they wouldnt give it to me and said they would call themselves and call me back. When they called me back they said I wouldnt be getting a refund since I cancelled on March 15th, 5 days into the 2nd month and that I should've paid $300 and something instead of the $200 and something for my down payment. So why am I not getting a refund at all?? I AM listed on my mother's insurance as a driver, along with my vehicles. And secondly, it wasnt a quote given to me..it was the actual payment that I was to make and the agent then said that it was wrong and she would fix it, but I chose to cancel.

I heard that my "high crime" items (cds, computers, etc) are not covered if they are stolen from my car and that my laptop wouldn't be covered if it was stolen while out of my townhouse. Auto Insurance Underwriters or Anyone please help!!! I need suggestion on how to fix my issue? I was in Illinois and as a car owner I got my insurance coverage from State Farm. I moved to Texas in 2006 leaving the old car in IL and purchased a new car TX. I transferred my insurance from IL agent to a TX agent. All my statements were received via online billing. I decided to move back to IL and around that same time apparently the State Farm agent I had in TX got in trouble for unethical practices and all his customers were transferred to another TX agent. Things apparently got shuffled and I never received my online email notification because I pay every 6 months.
